The Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS) is an integrated duty lawyer and social worker service for those affected by family violence. This is an holistic service that will help clients turn their lives around by treating both the legal problem and by addressing the underlying causes of the legal problem.

FASS has been established with funding from the Australian Government as part of a $100 million package to support the Third Action Plan of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022.

Each Australian State and Territory have a Family Advocacy and Support Service (‘FASS’). FASS combines free legal advice and support at court for people affected by domestic and family violence.
