Legal Aid ACT is a nonprofit organisation providing legal services to socially and economically disadvantaged people who live in the ACT or have a case in an ACT Court or Tribunal.

Legal Services Commission - the legal aid organisation for South Australia provides legal aid, legal advice, community legal education, duty solicitors, family dispute resolution and child support services.

Queensland

Legal Aid Queensland provides information, advice and representation in family, civil, and criminal law matters. The Legal Aid Call Centre is staffed by information officers who can provide legal information and referral to legal advice. Legal Aid Solicitors can provide free advice on most areas of law.

Legal Aid NSW provides legal services to disadvantaged clients across NSW in most areas of criminal, family and civil law. Legal Aid duty lawyers are available at local courts and many other courts and tribunals.

Northern Territory

Legal Aid NT offers a range of services including legal information, legal advice, representation, family dispute resolution, and education services. The organisation provides legal help if you can’t afford a private lawyer, including initial legal advice and representation in court in criminal matters, such as bail applications.

Tasmania Legal Aid provides legal information and advice, representation, minor assistance, mediation and legal education to all Tasmanians. Their focus is on economically and socially disadvantaged Tasmanians.

Legal Aid WA is the public face of the Legal Aid Commission of Western Australia, and the largest provider of legal aid services in Western Australia, with around 480 lawyers and support staff in 9 offices covering Perth and regional WA.
